READ CAREFULLY PLEASE...
There have been a number of issues with dark background colors. This release should fix those issues but it may not work as you expect. Here are the issues as I understand them.
Visual Studio 2010
- The "Default" color that VSColorOutput uses is that of the Text Editor, not the Output Window. I know this is counter intuitive but that's the way Visual Studio works.
- Changing the background colors of the VSColorOutput colors usually does not take affect until you restart Visual Studio. Again, it's a Visaul Studio quirk
- If your Output Window background is different than your Text Editor window background, you'll have to set the VSColorOutput background colors explicity (and restart Visual Studio).
Visual Studio 11 Beta
The same rules apply except you will always have to restart Visual Studio for your color changes to take affect. I've added code to always sync the colors when the extension is loaded. I'm not in love with this solution but it does work around the issue of the Beta not firing color change notifications.
